Board of Directors
In the tradition established by the initial board of directors, the current board of local directors is dedicated to the continuation of independent, community banking with local decisions for local customers.
George has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry, with 40+ of those at Frontier Bank. He has also been on the board for 40+ years. George’s long career in banking is a result of working with a great staff and truly enjoying Frontier customers.
George is originally from George, IA. He earned his BS in Ag Business and MS in Economics both from Iowa State University. George serves his community, being actively involved with the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, and as a Public Utility Trustee, member of the First Reformed Church of Rock Rapids, Kiwanis and Shazam board member.
In his free time, George enjoys reading, golf and working at the farm. He is married with three children and six grandchildren.
Scott Schneidermann
“Working with a talented group of employees all striving to help our customers succeed financially” is the best part of Scott’s job as President and CEO of Frontier Bank. He particularly enjoys how every day is different. “You never know exactly how your day will go, who you’ll meet or what opportunities you’ll find.”
He has been on the Frontier Bank Board since January of 2008.
Scott serves on the Rock Rapids City Council. He is also a director at both Iowa Student Loan and Prairie Family Business Association. Scott is an Iowa State University graduate with a BBA in finance and BA in German language and literature.
He and his wife Natalie have two daughters, Isabelle and Amelia. Scott enjoys golf, traveling, flying airplanes and supporting his daughters in their activities.
Rick Anderson
Rick is a graduate of Augustana University where he received a degree in business. He’s been in the banking industry for over 30 years, with 25+ of those years being at Frontier Bank. He truly enjoys helping customers, helping them achieve their personal and business goals. Rick has been a board member since March of 2014. Rick is active in Downtown Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Chamber, and he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and building things. Rick is married to Jaye, has four children and three grandchildren.
Roger Knoblock
Roger is a native of Lester, IA where he graduated from West Lyon High School. He is a retired farmer, who still is farming and feeding cattle. Roger has been a board member for 20+ years. He serves his community by being involved in Iowa Corn Growers and Lester Retirement Village. Roger and his wife have 8 children, all married; 30 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He enjoys traveling.
Kennis Peters
Born and raised in Little Rock, IA, Kennis is an active farmer and participates in the Little Rock Town and Country Club. He enjoys traveling. Kennis and his wife, Sandra have 4 sons, 1 daughter and 5 grandchildren. He has been serving on the Frontier Bank board for more than 20 years.
Bob Ladd
Bob is originally from Rock Rapids where he still works as a farmer and geologist today. He is a graduate of Iowa State University where he received his BS/MS in Geology. Bob serves his community by being involved as the Lyon Co Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner, and a member of the Northwest Iowa Experimental Farm Board of Directors. He and his wife, Brynn have 3 children, Allie, Jennifer and Christopher. He enjoys hiking and backpacking. He has been serving on the Frontier Bank board for over 15 years.
Brenda Zylstra, J.D.
Brenda has been with Frontier Bank for over 25 years. The best parts of her work are her coworkers and the creativity and entrepreneurship of the customers. Brenda earned her BA from Bethel University and JD from the University of Minnesota Law School. She is licensed to practice law in Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Brenda teaches classes at a local university, and she is a fourth-generation farmer raising row crops and livestock on the family farm. She is active in 4H, Junior Achievement, and her church. Brenda is a Township Trustee Clerk, serving on the board of her local fire department.
Brenda lives in Larchwood, IA with her husband and two children.
